- The Legal Section has registered achievements and equally experienced challenges. Despite the challenges, staff within the Section stridently work towards the achievement of the Section’s mission of protecting the Company from legal suits and minimizing undue financial cost by identifying, communicating, and mitigating legal risks to the business. In the year 2020, the Legal Section negotiated and recorded out of Court settlements saving the company Kshs 10 million in incidental costs had cases proceeded to full trial.
- In pursuit of fulfilling the Section’s objectives, plans are afoot to establish programmes to enable members of the Company’s surrounding community as our stakeholders to benefit from our legal services. The planned programmes will include organizing legal clinics, a legal sensitization and awareness week, and handling some probono cases. The Legal Section, under the leadership of Mr. Collins Agai and assisted by the following able and committed staff Mr. George Tawo and Caroline Mango, therefore appeals for the support of all Company stakeholders to actualize these programmes.
